产品概述
Salmon polynucleotide, commonly shortened to Salmon PN, is a DNA-derived polymeric raw material purified from salmon milt. On the product documentation this cosmetic grade is identified as Sodium DNA (CAS 9007-49-2). It is supplied as a white to off-white powder specified at an average molecular weight of at least 1,000 kDa and an assay of at least 90.0%.
That high-molecular-weight specification is what distinguishes this grade from lower-molecular-weight PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) materials. PN and PDRN are used inconsistently across supplier listings, so we recommend comparing the supplied grade, average molecular weight, assay, solubility and batch COA rather than selecting a material by abbreviation alone.
This grade is a cosmetic raw material for topical formulation use. For injectable or medical-device applications, see our separate Pharmaceutical Grade Salmon PN (NewPN-P®).

Key Structural Features
At its specified molecular weight, this Salmon PN grade keeps the physical structure that matters for topical regenerative and conditioning formulations.
High Molecular Weight, 3D Network Structure
At ≥1000 kDa average molecular weight, the polymer forms an interconnected structure rather than remaining a simple linear chain.
Porous Network
The structure creates space that can support cell migration and material exchange in a formulation matrix.
Fibroblast-Compatible Substrate
The physical structure is compatible with fibroblast attachment, relevant for post-treatment and conditioning formulations.
Biodegradable, pH-Neutral Profile
Breaks down through normal physiological pathways; pH 6.0–10.0 supports compatibility with topical use.

If your finished product is injected or classified as a medical device, contact us about NewPN-P® instead — the two grades are tested and documented differently and are not interchangeable.
Suitable Applications (Topical / Cosmetic Use)
Anti-Aging and Conditioning Skincare
Used in serums and creams aimed at conditioning, moisturizing, and softening the skin’s surface.
Post-Procedure Skincare
Included in soothing masks and repair gels marketed for use after microneedling, laser resurfacing, or chemical peels — as a topical conditioning ingredient, not a substitute for medical aftercare products.
Combination Formulations
Frequently paired with high molecular weight 透明质酸钠, where the hyaluronate contributes immediate surface hydration and film formation alongside PN’s structural properties.
Recommended usage level0.01%–2.0%, based on common industry formulation ranges. Validate the final level against your own stability and compatibility testing.

常见问题解答
What is Sodium DNA, and how is Salmon PN related to it?
Sodium DNA is the ingredient family name for DNA polymers purified from salmon milt, including both PDRN and PN. Salmon PN is the higher molecular weight fraction within that family (average MW ≥1000 kDa in this product), distinguished from PDRN’s shorter chains.
What is the difference between Salmon PN and Salmon PDRN?
Both are purified from salmon milt DNA, but PN consists of longer, higher molecular weight chains (this product: average MW ≥1000 kDa) while PDRN is processed into shorter fragments. The longer PN chains form a network structure relevant to physical scaffolding, while PDRN’s shorter fragments are associated with faster cellular activity. See our Salmon PDRN page for the shorter-chain version.
Is this Sodium DNA / Salmon PN suitable for injectable products?
No — this is our cosmetic grade material, tested and documented for topical formulations. For injectable or medical-device use, see our separate Pharmaceutical Grade Salmon PN (NewPN-P®), which is tested to a different specification.
Is Salmon PN vegan?
No. This product is purified from salmon milt (fish-derived). If you need a plant-derived alternative, see our 植物源PDRN product.
What does “523.37” molecular weight mean if the product’s average molecular weight is ≥1000 kDa?
523.37 is the molecular weight of the repeating nucleotide unit (the chemical building block), not the assembled polymer. The finished polymer’s average molecular weight — the figure relevant to its structural properties — is ≥1000 kDa, confirmed per batch COA.
